IMAP

What is IMAP?
IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. It is a method of accessing your mail kept on a mail server. This makes it easier so while away from your computer you can transfer messages back and forth between computers.

Get Started
To configure your computer for IMAP, you will need the following information:

Email Address: userid@ecu.edu
Outgoing server (SMTP) and Incoming server: piratemail.ecu.edu
This requires that you use SMTP authentication.

Note: Depending on the strictness of your local ISP, if you cannot send any email but can receive email, this field may need to be your local ISP's SMTP server address.
