Cornerstone Employee Training Portal

About Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a training management system for ECU. Permanent employees register for instructor-led training (ILT), online modules and assigned training sessions through this portal. From the personalized training page, employees can print a certificate of completion, browse for training, create a waitlist and more.

Key Features Within Your Personalized Training Center

  1. Complete Assigned Online Training: Access the Online Training in Progress area and click Launch to access any courses assigned to you.
  2. Register for Instructor-Led Training (ILT): Visit the Browse for Training area and click the name of the department or school to view and/or register for upcoming training sessions. Open or print these step-by-step registration instructions. After registration, you will receive an auto-generated email confirmation from, complete with an Outlook calendar invite.
  3. Access Your Transcript: Visit the My Training area and follow the Click here for transcript link to view your active, upcoming and completed training.

    Permanent Faculty and Staff

    After log in, you'll see a personalized training page that provides links to My Training, Your Upcoming Sessions, Online Training in Progress andBrowse for Training. Browse for a new title or check the calendar (click Learning >> Events Calendar). Click the Request button on a Details page to register.

      Contract and Part-time Employees

      Supervisors can request these employees be added to the Cornerstone system.


        Temporary workers, student workers, teaching assistants and graduate assistants who require a training transcript must have a Cornerstone account requested by their supervisor. Otherwise, a supervisor can request a seat in a training session for a student, if required.

          Need HIPAA training? Visit the HIPAA training page for resources and registration.

          Many departments on campus are already offering training courses and/or registration in Cornerstone, including:

            Find a Session

            After logging in to Cornerstone, click the Learning link from the menu at the top. The Events Calendar gives a month, week or day view of sessions. Click a session for details. Click Request to register.

                Adding Your Course to Cornerstone

                After approval through Human Resources, online learning courses and assigned training are packaged into a specific format and uploaded by a Cornerstone administrator. Turnaround time for packaging and upload depends on the complexity and length of the course content.

                Please provide information about your learning content in the Course Packaging Request form. Please note that all training should be accessible. For example, video files are required to be captioned. See the accessibility resources for more information.
