Firewalls:

Firewalls should be used on any computer that connects to a network or the Internet. Windows XP contains a firewall. If your Windows XP computer has Service Pack2 installed, the firewall is enabled by default. If you use a hardware firewall at home (e.g., a DSL router with a built-in firewall), do not bring it to campus and connect it to the campus computer network-it is a networking device prohibited by University policy.
