Description
Listserv is an automatic mailing list server which was originally designed to run on a mainframe. E-mail addressed to a mailing list is automatically sent to everyone on the list. It works similar to a newsgroup or forum, except that the messages are transmitted as e-mail and are available only to subscribers of the list.

ECU is using L-Soft LISTSERV 1.8e for Windows servers. The listserv server is maintained by ITC Systems. Listserv information can be found in the public folders of the Exchange e-mail system. Using your e-mail program, go to Public Folders, All Public Folders, Listserv.

General
Listserv commands must be e-mailed to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.ECU.EDU.

Messages to be distributed to a mailing list must be e-mailed to LISTNAME@LISTSERV.ECU.EDU
Note: Replace LISTNAME with the name of the mailing list.

To get a listing of the mailing lists on ECU's listserv, send an e-mail to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.ECU.EDU. In the body of the message, type LISTS. Do not include a subject or signature in the message.
