System Requirements

To get Leopard installed, please put in a Mac OS Service Request in Tech Excel.

    1.    1.8 GHz PPC or any Intel Mac
    2.    128 MB VRAM. (The core animation needs certain video cards with at least 128VRAM or more. If your machine was a custom build, you may want to check this in your System Profiler. See below for instructions on how to check your system.)
    3.    Firewire
    4.    2GB or more of memory
    5.    9GB of free hard drive space, 12GB if using Developer Tools
    6.    DVD drive.


To open System Profiler, choose Apple Menu > About This Mac, and then click More Info.
Go to Graphics/Displays and check the VRAM(Total). It needs to be above 128MB.

Note: Classic does NOT work in Leopard.
