To use Apple Mail

To install on a MacBook Air:
- Solution: To upgrade a MacBook Air, you will need to have access to the Snow Leopard DVD. You can do this in two ways:
1. Attach an external dual-layer DVD drive.
2. Use the Remote Install utility to access the optical drive from another Mac or PC.
Insert the Install DVD into a Mac or PC with a DVD drive.
Make sure the computer is available on the network through Airport Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Make sure the MacBook air is available on the same network as the shared computer.
Run Remote Install Mac OS utility from MacBook Air's Applications > Utilities folder or from the Remote Install Mac OS X iconic button from the Install Assistant on the PC and follow its instructions.
To install a USB Printer
- Solution: Attach the USB cable to both the printer and the Mac. Turn on the printer and then on the Mac, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Fax. It should automatically pick up printer. You should not have to install any printer drivers. Snow Leopard comes with quite a few. Here is the list: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669?locale=en_US
