MailMarshal User Guide

Working with the Message Digest

All incoming e-mail messages are checked by MailMarshal. E-mails that fit the MailMarshal criteria as spam are quarantined and the user is sent a digest list of the quarantined e-mails.

If you know that an e-mail on this list is not spam, log in to the MailMarshal console and "release" the message back to your inbox.

Handling Blocked Messages

From time to time, MailMarshal will send you an e-mail with the subject line containing, "Your e-mail message was blocked."  See example below:

spoofed

Simply click on the https://spammarshal.ecu.edu link contained in the e-mail message.  You will be prompted for your PirateID and your passphrase.  Upon successful login, you will be in the Spam Quarantine Management Console where you can release this message if you so desire.  Otherwise, it will be automatically deleted after 10 days.
