Piratedrive Mac Compatibility


Piratedrive Information

All Macintosh users can connect via their OneStop.

  1. Log into OneStop via the web.
  2. Select the Piratedrive link.
  3. You can upload, download, delete and navigate through the folders through the OneStop web interface.

OS X users can also access it:

  1. Through the Finder:
    1. Go>Connect to Server (Apple+K on your keyboard)
    2. Type in the address using the following format:
      smb://piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu/facultystaff/pirateid/
    3. At the login prompt enter the following: 
                                i.      Workgroup/Domain = intra
                              ii.      Username = pirateid
                             iii.      Password = pirate(email) password

    2.  Through Fetch:

    1. Hostname = piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu
    2. Username = intra\pirateid
    3. Connect using = FTP
    4. Password: pirate(email) password

    3.  Through FireFox and Netscape:

  1. In the address field, type in the following substituting where indicated:
    Address = ftp://intra\pirateid@piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu
  2. When it asks for your password that will be your email password.
  3. Please note that you can download items by clicking on them but you cannot upload any items.

 

OS 9 users can access it in two other ways:

  1. Through Netscape:

                  a.   In the address field, type in the following substituting where indicated:
                        Address = ftp://intra\userid@piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu/facultystaff/
                  b.   User ID: intra\userid
                  c.   Password: email password
                  d.   Account: blank

  2. Through Fetch:

                  a.   Hostname = piratedrive.intra.ecu.edu
                  b.   Username = intra\pirateid
                  c.   Connect using = FTP
                  d.   Password: pirate(email) password

    Notes: OS 9 users should upgrade their machine as soon as possible. Please call the Help Desk at 328-9866 for an ITCS consult.

    When specifying a username for login, you must always specify the INTRA domain as the login for authentication. The login should always look like this when specifying a userid - intra\userid - where userid is your email userid.

    We do not recommend using the built-in FTP Program in IE.
