What is the Walk-in IT Help Desk?
The Walk-in IT Help Desk, formerly TechRC, is an on-campus location where faculty and staff can receive technology consulting in a friendly walk-in environment. The center also offers workshops and demonstrations on new technology, provides one-on-one training/consulting sessions, and allows access to equipment and software tools that may not be available within the departments of ECU faculty & staff. Equipment and software are provided by ITCS and other departments across campus for use by University faculty and staff. Students may use the facilities on an as-needed basis. The Walk-in IT Help Desk also serves as the center for Opscan processing.
Get Started
Visit the Walk-in IT Help Desk in Austin 103* between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm with your technology needs. The Walk-in IT Help Desk resources are available on a “first come, first serve basis.” Use of these resources and one-one-one training/consulting are generally only for short term projects or tasks. If you require long term use of equipment, need extended one-on-one training/consulting or have a specific need please call 328-5401 to schedule an appointment. While we take pride in offering technology resources, we are unable to furnish every type of technology that is requested.
