To request a new extension number, telephone equipment or to report a problem

Submit an online IT Help Desk service request or call the IT Help Desk at 252.328.9866. Routine service not requiring special-order equipment is usually provided within three (3) weeks of the service request.

Submit either the BSOM IT Project Proposal or the IT Project Request form found in the Project Request section of the online IT Help Desk service request system.

Please note that departments are not authorized to make direct contact or commitments with the telephone company or other vendors for telephone services.

Visit the Staff VoIP page for a list of phone options such as call forwarding and conference calling.

See the Voice Services Pricing service catalog entry for service and equipment estimates.

Any network services equipment connected to the campus telephone system must be authorized by the Director of Infrastructure Services.

Equipment installed for the purpose of recording of voice conversations will be limited to equipment expressly designed for voice messaging and message retrieval. Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) are authorized to record voice conversations as long as such recordings are conducted in accordance with established FCC regulations.
