Welcome to the Videoconferencing Support Center

Videoconferencing in both Laupus Library locations is currently down for maintenance

Videoconferencing includes interactive telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to simultaneously interact via two-way ideo and audio transmissions. ECU-supported videoconferencing technologies include H.323 conferencing, Microsoft Lync, and SabaMeeting. Videoconferencing technologies can be used to enhance your courses in many ways.

See these examples of how videoconferencing can be used to benefit you both in and out of the classroom:

  1. Guest lectures from anywhere in the world
  2. Lecture exchanges between two instructors at different universities
  3. Joint courses taught alongside instructors in classrooms anywhere in the world
  4. Collaboration with business professionals
  5. Research collaboration
  6. Dissertation defense
  7. Office hours
  8. Advising
  9. Meetings
  10. Training

If you are unfamiliar with videoconferencing technology, read through the Glossary, register through the IT Training Calendar for a hands-on workshop or request a one-on-one consult.

If you already have H.323 videoconferencing equipment and want to schedule a videoconference with more than two sites, request the use of our videoconferencing bridge able to link with up to 80 sites at a time.
