Whether you use a laptop or mobile device, select a category for instructions to connect to the ECU wireless network.

Students on both the Main campus and the Health Sciences campus connect to the Pirates wireless network through an Internet browser.

Connect a Windows Laptop

  • ECU Laptop (INTRA Domain)

If your department purchased your Windows laptop, ITCS has already configured the system to log on to the Buccaneer network through the Cisco Clean Access Agent (CCA) software.

  • Personal Laptop (non-INTRA Domain)

If you purchased your own laptop, connect to either the Pirates network or the secure network, Buccaneer

Keep in mind if you need to access a departmental Piratedrive or other ECU server resource, configure the secure Buccaneer network for your personal laptop.

To configure Buccaneer for your personal laptop, follow the Non-Intra Windows instructions from the ITCS - Learning Center/Wireless PDF Tutorials folder (if necessary, log in using your Piratemail address/passphrase).
