The Reference Department offers personal assistance and instruction in the use of library resources to members of the ECU community (both on-campus and distance learners). Assistance is provided at the reference desk, via e-mail and telephone, and through various web-based services. An extensive program of outreach and library instruction are at the heart of the Department's activities.

Classroom Use Policy
Joyner Library classrooms 1020 & 1021 are for use by Joyner Library faculty and staff members to provide library instruction classes. Our growing instruction program provides more than 200 library instruction sessions a semester. At this time, Joyner Library is unable to accommodate reservation requests from outside the library because of the high demand for classroom space. The only exception is for requests made by ECU's executive administration.
