Eligible employees are allowed to take two credit bearing courses during an academic year at any of the 17 University of North Carolina campuses and have their tuition and fees waived. Consult ECU's Cashier Office for more details.
The Business Services Textbook Loan Program allows eligible ECU employees to apply to borrow required textbooks from Dowdy Student Stores for classes taken at ECU for themselves for eligible family members.
Joyner Library is located within walking distance of the ECU's Student Recreation Center. This 150,000 square foot facility offers 5 racquetball courts, an indoor running track, an indoor climbing wall, a 10,000 square foot weight and fitness area and much, much more.

The Main Campus Student Center will be a sprawling 210,000 square foot facility that will be a visual representation of East Carolina University's connection to people and industry of Eastern North Carolina, the City of Greenville, and our Pirate traditions. The new student center will include six dining options including Starbucks and Au Bon Pain.
