Community Access to Library Computers

Most of the computers in Joyner Library require that the user supply a ECU user name and password to access the computer. This is to ensure student access to computers, and provide security for the Library’s computers and the University’s network.
There are six (6) computers for patron use that requires the patron to put in their zip code and receive a 20 minute session before the computer resets.

PC Reservation Passes
There are four (4) computers designated for use by community patrons and area residents. Community patrons can visit the Circulation desk with a valid driver’s license or other valid ID and request a PC Reservation pass. The PC Reservation pass will allow community patrons and area residents 2 hours of computer usage per day. All computer usage will be on a first-come basis.

Community Access Passes
Cooperative borrowers and educators can receive a Community Access pass. The Community Access pass will provide a username and password to log onto computers in designated sections of Joyner Library. Community Access passes remain valid from the time of they are issued until the Library closes on Sunday of that week.

Due to a limited supply of Community Access passes, each patron will be issued only one pass per week. Patrons should keep their access pass safe, as the library cannot issue another pass until Monday of the following week. Patrons cannot share their passwords or use more than one computer at a time.

NOTE: All passes are issued at the Circulation Desk of Joyner Library. All computers have full access to the Library’s databases and resources.
