ECU students, faculty, and staff who are registered with the Department for Disability Support Services as having a disability that makes using the library difficult are eligible to received personalized assistance from Joyner Library's Interlibrary Loan office.
- The Document Delivery service can scan book chapters, periodicals, and microform items into PDF or TIFF file formats for you. If you need PDFs made machine readable, please let us know. If desired, these documents may be printed onto paper rather than sent to you as PDFs. There is no charge for this service.
- Large print, Braille, audiobook, and other special format materials may be requested via Interlibrary Loan Borrowing. Unfortunately, though, not all libraries lend these materials. The library usually covers all costs for this service; if there might be a charge, we will contact you in advance for approval.
- If you are unable to enter your Interlibrary Loan or Document Delivery requests in ILLiad, or your Place Hold requests through the library's catalog, the Interlibrary Loan, Circulation, or other library staff can assist you.
To enroll for these services or to ask questions about them, please contact William Gee, Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Librarian, at
geec@ecu.edu or 252-328-2268.
Joyner Library also has a dedicated workstation with screen-reading and other software in
