These films are in critical need of preservation attention. The oldest films are deteriorating rapidly, steps must be taken quickly to prevent the total loss of these items. The majority of these are 16mm and 35mm color films of varying lengths. Some may have sound. Of the approximately 200 films in this category, only a small portion have been identified.
Film restoration costs about $500 per 10 minutes of footage.
An example of a film that has been restored is available at: ECU Football Film Archives.
