On-Line Photograph Gallery

There are over 15,000 photos, negatives, post cards and drawings in the collection and they are available for use by researchers in the University Archives. This website gives the description for all the images as they are cataloged. Some images have been scanned to show examples from the collection. There are no plans to scan every image.

Images are arranged in ten major groups:

Views - Any campus view with more than one building, further subdivided into Aerial, Landscape, Maps, Panoramic, Davis Arboretum and Wright Circle.

Buildings & Structures - Images of individual buildings and structures on campus. Further subdivided by exterior and interior views and by date. Also includes the following subdivisions:

Administrative & Classroom Buildings
Residence Halls
Facilities Services buildings
Roads and Parking Lots
Outdoor structures such as the Bell, Wright Fountain, Gates, and Gazebos

Portraits - Images of identified individuals, further subdivided by categories of Faculty/Staff, Student/Alumni and Dignitaries as well as by date.

Groups & Associations - Images of 6 or more people identified by association or organization.
