Do You Recognize This Photo?

The staff of the University Archives has been working since February 2001 to identify and catalog the university's photograph collection of over 6,000 images. A number of these images are being scanned and made available on-line. A description of the remaining images is being prepared for web accessibility. To date over 4,000 images have been cataloged.

The staff needs your help in identifying some images. A special section of the on-line photograph collection contains unidentified images of students, faculty and visitors. Anyone who recognizes an image and can identify the people or the event is encouraged to submit an electronic form (provided with each individual image) or to call the University Archivist at 252-328-0272.

The archives is also interested in collecting more images of the campus, students/alumni, faculty and events. Please contact the archivist at the number above if you would like to donate photographs or other materials related to the history of ECU.
