Welcome to Joyner Library, the intellectual heart of East Carolina University. Here you will find rich physical and online collections, knowledgeable and friendly librarians and staff to assist you, state-of-the-art technology, and inviting spaces in which to study, read and collaborate with others. Multiple exhibits are always on display throughout the Library, beginning on the first floor and continuing on second floor in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery and the Teaching Resources Center, on third floor in the North Carolina Collection, and in the Special Collections area on fourth floor. The Music Library, located in the Fletcher Building, also offers exhibits as well as materials in a variety of formats that support the School of Music. I hope you’ll take the time to visit these areas, as well as our nationally-recognized digital exhibits.
The Library website is one of the ways we connect people with information. Our site helps you locate books, DVDs, journals, maps and other materials located in the Library and also is your conduit to hundreds of databases, tens of thousands of e-journals and e-books, local digital collections, the ECU institutional repository, research guides, and finding aids. You can also use the website to connect with our librarians and staff and receive research assistance via chat or email. Explore the website to learn more about the services and resources we offer. And if you have any questions, please “Ask Us!”
