Joyner Library’s Electronic & Continuing Resources Acquisitions department is responsible for acquiring and providing access to the journals (both electronic and print formats), databases, and other continuing resources that have been selected for inclusion in the Library’s collection.
This responsibility includes:
- Communicating with vendors regarding subscription evaluations, placements, renewals, and cancellations
- Maintaining and troubleshooting access to the Library’s collection of electronic resources
- Maintaining records regarding the business and access terms of continuing resources
- Ensuring for the timely receipt of print journal subscriptions
- Managing the shelving of materials in the Library’s Current Periodicals area
- Preparing bindery shipments of print journals
