It is an apparent force within our society, including that of our university and adjoining library, that information is a dominate need that we must continuously struggle to keep up with. In terms of the library today, and moving forward, we have to be much more for our patrons and no longer entirely about books or the other various resources available to them. Our collections and resources must be continuously expanded and adapted to meet the growing trends and expectations of our students, faculty and patrons.

Despite budget constraints and other limitations, J.Y. Joyner Library has continued to move forward and fully support the research mission of the university and the needs of the hundreds of thousands of patrons who walk through the doors each year.
