Borrowing Print Materials
To give you equal access to materials, ECU Libraries can provide you with free document delivery, both to and from your location (outside of Pitt County only). Complete a request through Interlibrary Loan and choose document delivery.
Can’t find a book or article in the ECU Libraries catalog? We can get it for you! Use Interlibrary Loan to request your material.
Using Other UNC System Institutions
Through a cooperative borrowing agreement, you have access to materials at any UNC system institution. To check out materials from these libraries, you will need a DE Student ID Card from ECU and a photo identification card. Just fill out the DE Student Request Form to get your card.

You have access to the electronic databases at ECU Libraries from anywhere!. Click on your chosen database within our library website and fill in your PirateID and password when prompted. Consult this guide if you are having trouble. If it doesn’t answer your questions, please Ask a Librarian.
ECU students, faculty and staff may request a 30-minute free, individual research consultation with a member of the Joyner Library Research and Instructional Services Department. Submit this form to request a consultation.

Online Writing Lab
The University Writing Center offers the ECU Online Writing Lab (OWL) for Distance Education students. This gives you the opportunity to ask specific questions about your writing to a trained writing center consultant. Their consultants do not simply proofread or edit papers, they can also answer questions or provide feedback that will help any student become a better writer.
