Early & Underground

     Newspaper Collection

joyner_mall
The Government Documents/Microforms department at Joyner Library is home to both the Early and Underground newspaper collections on microform. The Early newspaper collection contains a number of American and International papers from the eighteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries. The Underground newspaper collection is made up of college and independent publications primarily from the mid to late 1960's. Many of these collections are incomplete as they were made up of small sporadic production runs.   You can review an alphabetical list of the Early Newspapers or the Underground Newspapers by choosing one of the headings below.  US papers are listed by City and State of publication, while International papers are listed by City and Nation. *

*Note: Papers published in North Carolina are located in the North Carolina Room on the
third floor of Joyner Library.    Go to:  North Carolina Collection Web site
