Edith Tibbits

Edie Tibbits, a native of Denver, CO, was employed at East Carolina University, serving as faculty Music and Rare Books Cataloger [beginning April 1, 1990]. In addition to her responsibilities at ECU, she served as Rare Book Cataloger at Tryon Palace. Musically, she was a talented string bassist, and prior to becoming a librarian she played professionally with symphony orchestras in the West. She was an active member of both the Southeast Music Library Association and the Music Library Association. She also had a love for animals, as evidenced in her passion for Scottish Terriers, especially her beloved Tipper.
