Past Announcements
6/26/2008 Two new databases are available to library patrons: Opera in Video and Dance in Video.
Opera in Video contains opera performances, captured on video through staged productions, interviews, and documentaries. Selections represent the world's best performers, conductors, and opera houses and are based on a work's importance to the operatic canon.
Dance in Video captures dance performances from the stage and brings them directly to your computer screen through online streaming video-including dance productions and documentaries by the most influential performers and companies of the 20th century.
5/28/2008 Call the Music Library Toll-Free Joyner Library now provides a toll-free number for its Ask a Librarian service. We encourage music patrons living outside the local calling area to call 1-866-291-5581 for assistance using music library resources and services. Just ask to be transferred to the music library for assistance.
5/2/2008 Grove Music Changes Grove Music is now part of Oxford Music Online and has a new interface. In addition to Grove, Oxford Music Online contains the Encyclopedia of Popular Music, the Oxford Dictionary of Music, and the Oxford Companion to Music. We are especially excited to have the Encyclopedia of Popular Music available online, because Grove's information on popular music was limited.
Visit the Music Library home page and click on "Oxford Music Online (includes Grove Music)" to see the new interface.
