Music Library Computing and Audiovisual Services
The Music Library provides a variety of computing and audiovisual services, including:
Technology lab
- Playback ability for:
- CDs
- LPs
- Analog cassette tapes
- DAT cassette tapes
- Minidiscs

- Videocassettes
- Laserdiscs
- Mini DVs
- Interactive multimedia discs
- CD-ROMs
- The lab additionally provides:
- CD writing
- Scanning
- Internet access
- Computer access - PC (11 stations) and Macintosh (3 stations)
- Finale music notation software (Macintosh stations only)
- Sibelius music notation software (Macintosh stations only)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Macintosh stations only)
- Garage Band software (Macintosh stations only)
- Keyboard for score reading or use with Macintosh station
Recording/playback equipment & laptop loan
The Music Library loans recording and playback equipment and laptops. Loan policies are found in the Music Library Circulation Policy. The following types of equipment are loaned:
- Sony X-plod Stereo with CD/cassette playback and line-in for external audio sources (2)
- Sony stereo microphone (can be used with X-plod Stereo or your own equipment)
- iLive Stereo with CD playback, iPod dock, line-in for external audio, and line-out for iPod video (2)
- 30g Video iPod formatted for Windows with stereo microphone (30g Video iPod formatted for OSX with stereo microphone
- Video camera (Sony DCR-DVD710 1 MP, 25X optical zoom) (2)
- Sharp cassette recorder/player (2)
- Laptops (in-library use only)
Dubbing services
- Dubbing requests must adhere to all copyright restrictions.
- Requester must supply recording media.
- Dubbing requests must be accompanied by a completed Dubbing Request Form, available in the Music Library.
- Dubbing service is overseen by the Evening/Weekend Access Services supervisor.
- Dubbing is available for the following formats:

- LPs (dubs from LPs to another media only; we cannot dub to LP)

- Card-operated photocopying and printing
