Purpose: To assist Music Library users in finding articles, books, recordings and videos about the following jazz artists studied in History of Jazz courses at ECU.

Scope: These bibliographies are not meant to be comprehensive. They are limited to materials available on the East Carolina University campus. Items are listed roughly in reverse chronological order within each category. The citations were located using Music Index (1981 to December 1995), RILM Abstracts (to 1988), the Library's online catalog, and bibliographies in the New Grove Dictionary of Jazz.
