About the Pitt County Compendium

Four volumes of a printed Pitt County Compendium have been privately published by Elizabeth (Betsy) Ross and Roger Kammerer, of Greenville, North Carolina. However, the difficulties of marketing, packaging, and otherwise dealing with expensive physical products prohibit wide-scale distribution of the valuable information. Monetary gain is not our objective, and must not be yours if you copy the information.

The World Wide Web offers an easier means of sharing the contents of our files. These pages will put the information into the hands of Pitt County researchers. Remember to verify these data, or any other secondary material, by consulting the original documents from which they were derived.

The information provided in these pages may be used for personal use only, and may not be reproduced in part, in entirety, or for commercial purposes, without the expressed permission of Elizabeth Ross, compiler and designer. If any part of the information is incorporated into your personal files, please give proper credit for the original research. The original graphic elements and page layout design are the exclusive property of the compiler/designer, and may not be copied or used for any purpose.
