Statement of Public Computer Use for Academic Library Services (Computer Use Policy)
Public workstations in the Joyner and Music Libraries are available for research, learning, scholarship and support of teaching.
- All members of the ECU community will be given priority over non-ECU patrons in the use of public workstations for research and learning.
- ECU students will be given first priority in the Digital Library Center (DLC).
- ECU students, faculty and staff will be required to use their PirateID and password to access the public workstations.
- Public workstations will be available with a guest login for community users and other non-ECU patrons. ECU is a federal and state documents depository, and as such provision will be made to access these materials.
- Users 14 years of age and under must have a parent or guardian present to use public workstations.
- All users of library public workstations are responsible for reading and adhering to ITCS policies at http://www.ecu.edu/itcs/policies/, the ECU "Academic Computer Use Policy” at http://www.ecu.edu/cs-itcs/policies/academicpolicy.cfm and to the Academic Library Services Electronic Resources Use Guidelines.
