Printing in the Joyner Library

In order to print, you must have either an ECU One Card or a Copi Serve card. It costs $.10 per page to print, and your card will be used to store money and use the print release stations located around the library. Copi Serve cards can be purchased for $1.00 from a machine near the entrance of the library. You will be charged $.30 for the cost of the card and the remaining $.70 will be placed on the card. Additional money can be placed on the card by returning to this machine. If you have a One Card, you will insert it into this same machine and add money to it in the same way you would using a Copi Serve Card. You will not be charged the $.30 for the card, however.

 

How to Print from a Library Computer

  1. In the program you wish to print from, go to File > Print.
  2. In the Print dialogue box, make sure Public Printer is selected. Click on the Print button.
  3. In the box that appears, input a password. This password will be used to release your print job. The password can be anything you like. Confirm the password by typing it a second time. Click OK.
  4. Go to a Print Release Station and insert your ECU One Card or Copi Serve card.
  5. Select your document from the list.
  6. Click the Print button.
  7. Enter your password in the window that comes up.
  8. Your job will print, at a cost of $.10 a page.

Note: Some documents, like PDF files, PowerPoint slide shows, and Microsoft Word documents with embedded pictures can take several minutes to print.

 

How to Print from a DLC Laptop

In order to print from a DLC Laptop, you must be logged into the Library’s network. The easiest way to do this is to open a web browser like Internet Explorer or FireFox. When the browser opens, it will automatically direct you to a login screen. Use your Pirate ID and password to log onto the ECU network. From there, follow the instructions for "How to Print from a Library Computer" that are printed above.
