Barbara Dobkin Award (National Jewish Book Award for Women’s Studies)
Berkshire Conference Prizes: Prizes are for a first book written on women’s history and for an article in any field of history published by a woman.
British Women Romantic Poets Project at UC Davis: This archive contains texts of British and Irish women written between 1789 and 1832.
Diana Forsythe Prize: Established in 1999 to honor the best book or series of publications in honor of Diana Forsythe’s feminist anthropological research on work, science and (bio)technology.
Digital Schomburg African American Women Writers of the Nineteenth Century: A free online resource published by the New York Public Library, this site offers access to stories ranging from anonymous authors to poems by Phyllis Wheatley.
Emily Toth Award: Normally given for the best single author book in Women's Studies and Popular Culture. Given by the Popular Culture Association beginning in 1996, the Association is in the process of re-establishing this important award.
Feminist Canon: list by the Feminist Majority Foundation
Feminist Science Fiction, Fantasy and Utopia: This site contains bibliographies/book reviews, research and support for aspiring feminist SF writers.
Heldt Award: Presented by the Association of Women in Slavic Studies, this is awarded each year for the best book by a woman, best book on women’s studies, and best article, all in Slavic/Eastern European/Eurasian women’s studies.
Independent Book Publisher Awards (IPPY) : Honors the year's best in 52 categories within independent publishing.
James Tiptree, Jr. Award : Annual literary prize for science fiction/fantasy that explores our understanding of gender.
Jessie Bernard Award: This award, established by the American Sociological Association, is given in recognition of a book enlarging the compass of sociology to more fully include the roles of women in society. Titles date back to 1979.
Joan Kelly Memorial Prize : Established in 1983 by the Coordinating Council on Women in History and administered by the American Historical Association is awarded to the best work on women's history and/or theory.
NWSA Scholarship in Jewish Women’s Studies: This award celebrates achievements in Jewish feminism and scholarship on Jewish women from 1990 to the present.
Other Women’s Voices: Translations of Women’s Writing Before 1700 This page lists 125 women writers in translation, providing information about the primary source of the work as well as providing information on useful secondary sources. Writers are from West, East and South Asia, as well as Europe.
Ruth Benedict Prize: From the Society of Lesbian and Gay Anthropologists comes the Ruth Benedict Prize, honoring excellence in a scholarly publication in anthropology dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. Awards are listed from 1976 to the present time.
Sex and Gender Section Award, American Sociological Association: Recognizes research that make a significant contribution to the study and understanding of sex and gender "through a book on the cutting edge of sociological inquiry."
Susan Koppelman Award Winners: Multi-authored or edited book that is a feminist study of popular or American culture materials, phenomena, artifacts, etc. or a collection of such materials. Awarded at the joint conference of the Popular Culture Association and the American Culture Association. Winners from 1986-1996 , 2000 , 2001 , and 2002 .
Stonewall Book Award: The foremost award for lesbigay literature. Divided into fiction and non-fiction, the awards are for English language books published the year previous to the award. The award began in 1971 and continues to 2005.
Victoria Schuck Award: Award for best book on women and politics begun in 1988 by the American Political Science Association.
Victorian Women Writers Project: This site provides accurate transcriptions of works by British women in the 19th century, including political pamphlets, religious tracts, poetry, drama and children’s literature.
