During the Fall of 2007, Joseph Thomas and Leigh Younce began work to define a core list of Women's Studies journals. Building on work begun by Thura Mack, Linda Krikos, Catherine Loeb, Susan E. Searing, and Esther Stineman, they developed a list of 60 titles, and travelled to the Charleston Conference in November to present their findings.
