Description of Duties
As a Collection Development Librarian, I:
Analyze use of library collections and assist with collection management projects
Assess the collection supporting my subjects
Make preservation, gift, and de-selection decisions
Managing the general print collection and working with cataloging to maintain the best access to the collection
Recommend journal subscriptions and cancellations, online journal backfiles, microform materials, databases, datasets, and other resources.
Review and adjust approval plan profiles for my subject area
- Select print and electronic books
- Work collaboratively with colleagues throughout Academic Library Services
