(Emergency & Crisis Hours only exist during the fall and spring semesters. While there are no set crisis hours during the summer months, crisis appointments can be arranged through consultation with our front office staff and counselors. Please call the office for additional information if experiencing a crisis during summer month business hours.)
Our Emergency & Crisis Service operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and is offered to those students who are experiencing a psychological crisis. Appointments offered through this service are relatively brief, usually less than 30-45 minutes depending on the particular student's emergency.

If you are currently experiencing a psychological crisis or emergency situation, please call the Center immediately at 328-6661 or report to 137 Umstead Residence hall during regular business hours to arrange an immediate crisis appointment.
The Center for Counseling and Student Development offers after hours crisis services (weekdays after 5:00 pm and on Saturday/Sunday). If you are experiencing a psychological emergency/crisis please contact the ECU Police Department at 252-328-6787 to have the on call counselor paged.
