WELCOME to the ECU Center for Counseling & Student Development!

The Center for Counseling and Student Development is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS). Our programs and services are designed to contribute to the personal and academic development of all ECU students.

Location: We are located on the first floor of Umstead Hall, Room 137. Enter through the back entrance facing Slay Hall, turn right and follow the signs to check in.  

Satellite Location also available on Thursdays in Laupus Library--West Campus. Please call our office for more information regarding these appointments.

** The Center for Counseling and Student Development will be closed for professional development on Monday, May 13, 2013. Our daytime (8 am-4:30 pm) on-call crisis phone services will be available via ECU Police. We will re-open on May 14th, 2013, for regular business hours. **

Eligibility: Counseling and Student Development Center services are available to all currently-enrolled ECU students. In addition, we provide consultation services for faculty & staff, parents, and students with regard to concerns about current ECU students.

Summer 2013 eligibility information: Students seeking services from the Center for Counseling and Student Development and Student Health Services will have the opportunity to purchase the "Gold Pass" for each summer session if they are not enrolled in classes for that session. If students are enrolled in classes for that particular summer session, they will have access to services from both offices for that session only. Gold Passes are $60 per summer session and can be purchased through front desk at Student Health.
