“The fastest game on two feet,” lacrosse is the fastest
growing sport in the United States. The club team looks to grow in
such a thriving atmosphere for the game.
ECU Men’s Club Lacrosse competes in the South Eastern Lacrosse Conference, a
division of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association and holds weekly practice
at Blount Fields. The 2003–2004 season saw the Pirates rank 3rd in
the country in the B division and now the team is looking to dominate the A
division. Competitors include Virginia Tech, NC State, the University of South
Carolina, Wake Forest and Clemson among others that make up the South Eastern
Conference. The team travels the southeastern coast competing and aspires to
make the MCLA playoffs.
