ECU Club Cheerleading is for students that are interested in the competitive aspect of cheerleading, offering the opportunity to cheer competitively at the college level. The club also provides a way for students to stay active, be involved in the University and community, as well as be part of a team.
Club Cheer participates in 4-5 competitions throughout the year, and competes at a college national's event. The squad also takes part in various school events and community service.
Tryouts for ECU Club Cheerleading are held every year in September and the squad practices twice a week at East Carolina Cheerleading and Tumbling School. The team is coached by former ECU Cheerleader TJ Sawyer, and former ECU Football Player Jerome Bacon.
