When students are withdrawn (for medical reasons and/or crisis related events) from a semester and wish to return to ECU they must petition to the Office of the Dean of Students. Please fill out the Petition to Return Form and schedule an appointment to meet with the case manager. To schedule an appointment, please do so by clicking here. If you were withdrawn due to medical reasons, you will need to submit a letter along with your application. Please present your provider with the following letter for the Medical Documentation Request. If your current medical / healthcare provider needs a copy of your withdrawal letter for their reference, please send an e-mail to dos@ecu.edu with the medical / healthcare provider's contact information.
If you were withdrawn for reasons that were not medical in nature, please discuss with the case manager what type of supporting documentation will be needed.
