Emerging Media

Staff members use an integrated communication model to support and advance all aspects of their work. Staff members include writers, editors, designers, Web site developers, video producers, and photographers who are available to:

• develop strategic marketing communications plans and materials to promote or raise awareness of programs, activities and services
• in partnership with the ECU News Bureau, inform the media about success stories and other newsworthy topics
• lead focus groups and other research activities
• develop Web sites or other electronic communications
• produce professional video pieces
• provide professional-quality photography

Emerging Media is charged with:

• ensuring that all aspects of the work reinforce and effectively support Student Affairs goals
• ensuring that the Web site, videography and print materials address students needs and meet high standards in content and ease or navigation
• coordinating with the Student Affairs Office of Information Technology to provide up-to-date Web site tools for campus units to manage and author sites
