Friday, September 15

Free Group Fitness Classes
Visit the Student Recreation Center and join our certified instructors for a variety of classes all weekend long. Visit www.ecu.edu/crw for class schedule and details.

Family Day of Service
1:00pm-3:00pm | Mendenhall Student Center, Room 221
Take some time to serve with your Pirate Family and live out ECU's motto "Servire" and commitment to service. We will sort and prepare school supplies to benefit community partners in the local area. The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement will have school supplies gathered for our volunteers to sort, however, please feel free to bring your donations that day, if you wish to support!  If you plan to join us, please let us know by registering here.

Family Float
3:00pm-6:00pm | Student Recreation Center Loading Deck
Join our student recreation staff for an outdoor adventure! This trip is intended to be an experience for family members to enjoy the beautiful Tar River together. Basic paddling techniques will be taught and coaching will occur on the water as needed or requested. Both canoes and sit-on-top kayaks will be available. Freeboot Friday
5:00pm-8:00pm | Five Points Plaza (corner of 5th and Evans Street), Uptown Greenville
Dubbed the official pep rally of home football games, this free event will have live music, food trucks, an athlete meet and greet, a beer and wine garden, and tons of giveaways. We invite all students and their families to join us for this classic pre-game activity. It's going to be arrgh-some! Click here for more information.

Parents Advisory Council General Meeting
5:00pm-6:30pm | Health Sciences Student Center, Grand Room
Join us as we officially kick-off Family Weekend! ECU campus administrators will join the Parents Advisory Council in welcoming families to campus and updating you all on the state of affairs at ECU. We'll meet in the brand new Health Sciences Student Center!

All Pirate Parents and Family members are invited to join this opportunity to get updates on current issues and learn how ECU families are making a positive impact on their students' college experience. You will also have the opportunity to hear from staff and the ECU Parents Advisory Council. 

Families in attendance are eligible to win ONE SEMESTER OF FREE IN-STATE TUITION

Pirate Family Welcome Reception

Hosted by the ECU Parents Advisory Council, this informal dessert reception allows parents and families to join ECU faculty and administrators for a meet and greet social in the new Health Sciences Student Center. *Tickets must be purchased in advance*

Saturday, September 16

Family Weekend Football Parking/Park and Ride Shuttle
12:00pm (First shuttle departs) | Health Sciences Campus, 100 Health Sciences Drive, Greenville, NC 27834
Pass | $15 per vehicle
For our visiting families, parking with shuttle services is available from the Health Sciences campus to the Family Weekend Tailgate/Athletic Stadium area. Shuttles will drop off at the tailgate location before the game and depart from 14th Street (behind Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium) during and after the football game. *Ticket must be purchased in advance*

Family Weekend Tailgate
12:30pm-3:30pm | Top of College Hill, 14th Street across from Gateway Residence Halls
Tickets | $20 per person (students will not be allowed to use meal plans)
Bring the whole family out to the tailgate to enjoy great food, music, games, and MUCH MORE! You can sit and soak up the sun, and mingle with other families before the game. 

This is a catered event, not an open tailgate lot; no outside food, drinks, or vehicles will be permitted in this area.

Family Weekend shuttles will drop off visitors at the tailgate picnic location. Gates open at 3 hours prior to kick-off; first shuttle departs 30 minutes prior to tailgate.

*Tickets must be purchased in advance* You will be asked to show your tailgate ticket to gain entry to the tailgate area.

Family Weekend Football Game ECU vs. Va. Tech
Kick-off 3:30pm | Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium
Join Coach Scottie Montgomery and the ECU Pirates for another exciting game against Virginia Tech! This game has been designated by Athletics as "Paint it Gold", so considering trading in your purple for GOLD.

Football Game Indoor Viewing ECU vs. Va. Tech
Kick-off 3:30pm | Mendenhall Student Center, Hendrix Theatre
Families wishing to view the game indoors may go to Hendrix Theatre in Mendenhall Student Center.

Open Climb 
1:00pm-5:00pm | Student Recreation Center
Visit the Student Recreation Center on Saturday and show off your climbing skills. Open climb for the whole family will be available. Participants must sign a waiver for the climbing wall and the Student Recreation Center staff will provide harness, shoes and instruction for FREE. Minors are able to climb as long as they are accompanied by their legal guardian.

Movie Under the Stars: Beauty and the Beast
9:30pm | Bottom of College Hill (Marching Pirates practice field)
Disney's animated classic takes on a new form. A young prince, imprisoned in the form of a beast, can be freed only be true love. What may be his only opportunity arrives when he meets Belle, the only human girl to ever visit the castle since it was enchanted. Movie is rated PG and runs 2 hours, 9 minutes. Sponsored by the ECU Parents Association and SAB Films.

Pirate Family Brunch
10:00am-2:00pm | West End Dining Hall
Enjoy brunch before saying good-bye and hitting the road. A great way to cap off Family Weekend. Family members can pay $8.00 at the door.

Women's Soccer
1:00pm | Johnson Stadium
Head Coach Rob Donnenwirth enters his 19th season with the women's soccer program at ECU. Check out the team as they take on Virginia Sunday afternoon at Johnson Stadium. Tickets are sold through ECU Athletics at www.ecupirates.com.

Student Brick Memorial Ceremony
2:00pm | Student Memorial Garden
"Once a Pirate, Always Pirate". The memorial ceremony brings together families, students and staff of the Pirate Nation to remember "fallen Pirates", consisting of students that passed during the 2016-2017 school year.
