Founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1865, Alpha Tau Omega has expanded to over 250 chapters nationally with over 200,000 active members and alumni. After recently colonizing at East Carolina February 27, 2011, ATO has over 35 brothers with a goal of having 55+ members prior to officially chartering. ATO has maintained good academic standing achieving 3rd on campus in cumulative GPA and excelled in competitions after coming in 2nd place in Greek Week and 2nd place in Homecoming week. ATO also requires members to complete 15 hours of community service to help out in the Greenvillle Community.
