2016 Incoming Freshman Scholarship
We as undergraduate members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding or good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving to the best of our ability, our college community.
East Carolina Panhellenic women value scholarship and work to maintain a GPA that is consistently higher than the all undergraduate average.
This fall ECU National Panhellenic Council is pleased to announce the incoming freshmen female scholarship for the 2016 academic school year. Two $200 book scholarships (University Bookstore Gift Cards) will be given to reward and recognize women who are committed to academic excellence through scholarship, service, and leadership, and who have an outstanding high school career behind them. The winner should have excelled in academic achievement, activities and honors, and contribution to the community. The application requirements are as follows:
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Extracurricular involvement
- Community service as an individual or as a member of an organization
- Awards and Honors received
1 letter of recommendation and a resume are optional and can be sent to:Caitlin Adams, Panhellenic VP Scholarship
Candidates must complete and online applications at http://www.ecu.edu/cs-studentaffairs/greeklife/panhellenic_webform.cfm. Please note ONLY online applications will be accepted.
The deadline for submitting applications is August 1, 2016. Late applications will not be considered. Scholarships will be awarded at Recruitment Convocation on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. You will be contacted if you are the winner before that date.
If selected as a winner of a Panhellenic scholarship, your grades will be verified to ensure that you meet the required GPA of a 3.2 or higher.
