The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSRR) serves the faculty and staff of the ECU community through workshops, consultations, presentations and information available on our web pages.

If you observe a student engaging in a behavior that is a possible violation of the Student Code of Conduct, please use our online incident report form here.  Please feel free to contact us if you would like discuss a student's behavior and you want to know about options and resources.

We also work with faculty members who have questions about responding to potential violations of the Academic Integrity Policy.  The Academic Integrity Resources page provides links to the Center for Academic Integrity and information on how to prevent academic dishonesty.  We also provide sample academic integrity statements for syllabi.

OSRR also offers presentations and workshops for faculty, staff, and students.  Below you will find a brief description of our most frequently requested programs.  We are also able to customize presentations upon request.


Student Code of Conduct:  A discussion of the Student Code of Conduct and the most common and serious violations.  We also explain what the conduct process and how a violation can impact your experience here at the university.  It is a great opportunity for students ask questions about what behaviors are covered.

Academic Integrity:  A discussion of the meaning of academic integrity and how students can avoid violating it.  We also offer presentations to groups of faculty and staff who want to know more about upholding academic integrity and responding to possible violations.

Social Media Use:  How to use social media wisely and beyond making connecting with friends.

Classroom Disruption:  A review of ECU's policy on how to handle disruptive students in the classroom.

Decision-Making:  Learn more about the seven steps to effective decision-making.

Conflict Resolution:  Learn more about conflict and how to respond to conflict situations.  This presentation can be customized for students, staff, or specific work environments.
