The ECU Parents Advisory Council serves the families and university by fostering partnerships, communication and philanthropic support in efforts to promote and support ECU and its mission.

Being parents of a college student is difficult.  When and how do I help and when do they need to learn life lessons?  Your child will continue to come to you for advice and guidance when it comes to college life and sometimes when they need money.  You'll hear about grades, roommates, projects, friends and much more.  This is good. We want you to be an informed resource when your son or daughter calls. That's why we have the ECU Parent Services website and hope you will join become a member.

At East Carolina, the University Community is enriched by an engaged, effective, and representative Parents Advisory Council.

To provide an organization through which parents, guardians, and families may collectively coordinate efforts in support of students and of the total educational experience.

To raise funds and secure resources with the intention of sponsoring programs and services that meet the needs of students and families; and, to support the university community at large.

To provide parents, guardians, family members, and constituents of the university community opportunities to learn more about university policy and practice.

To serve as the governing body of the ECU Parents Association.
