The East Carolina University Parents Council has a very specific mission:

To serve the families and University by fostering partnerships, communication and philanthropic support in efforts to promote and support ECU and its mission.

Contributions of the Parents Council:

• Supported Freshman Read Series to invite Authors to campus ($1,000)
• Supported need based student leadership scholarships ($10,000)
• Funded dollars to support Internal Student Affairs mini-grants ($10,000)
• Supported Pirate Tutoring Center  ($5,000)
• Purchased battery operated residence car to assist students to and from health services when needed ($17,000)
• Established Parent Endowment to support programmatic needs (endowment currently at $77,000)
