Emily web
Emily McLamb
Associate Director for Student Involvement

Emily joined the Student Activities and Organizations staff at ECU in July 2008 after spending several years serving as the Associate Director for Marketing and Events for Conference USA.  She oversees the operations, programs, activities/events, and five staff members of the Office of Student Activities and Organizations.
 
As an undergrad at the College of Mount St. Joseph, McLamb captained the tennis team from 1998-2000 where she earned Academic All-HCAC honors as a senior. Off the court, McLamb was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council and Chi Alpha Sigma National Collegiate Honor Society. A native of Van Wert, Ohio, McLamb completed her Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy from MSJ in 2001 and earned her Master's in Sports Administration from Xavier in May 2003.

Krista is the advisor for the Student Activities Board Films, Initiatives, and Visual Arts Committees. She also coordinates all co-curricular requests that are submitted to the department of Student Involvement and Leadership
Justin

Justin joined our staff in January 2012. He spent a few years at Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland as the Assistant Director of Campus Activities and a year as the Associate Director of Campus Activities. Justin graduated from Mount St. Mary's University in 2009 with a Master's in Business Administration where he also received his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2007.

Justin is the advisor for the Student Activities Board Entertainment and Special Events committees. He also handles the assessment for the Student Activities and Organization office.


Austin

Austin joined our staff in August 2008. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree in Counseling from James Madison University, focusing on College Student Personnel Administration.

Austin oversees the developmental programming and advisement of the 300+ student organizations on our campus. He manages organization recognition and registration, coordinates leadership programs, and oversees advisement and accountability processes for student organizations. Austin also assists organizations in coordinating fundraising and other events.

Outside of work, Austin likes to explore music, people, and the world.

Tracy DeMar

Tracy joined our staff in November 2008, having spent six months as an intern in our department.  Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interpersonal & Organizational Communications with a minor in Art & Design from East Carolina University.
 
Tracy is responsible for all student fee funding associated with the Student Government Association, the Graduate and Professional Student Senate, and the Fine Arts Funding Board.  She also supervises the Student Activities and Organizations student marketing team.
 
Tracy enjoys supporting the Carolina Hurricanes, the beach, and photography.
 
 
Darlene

Darlene joined our staff in March 2008.  Darlene earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Business Administration/Management from Shaw University in May 2010.  She is pursuing a Masters degree in Public Administration from Ashford University with a planned completion date in Fall 2011.
 
Darlene is responsible for managing the financial components of our office, including our ledgers, processing payroll, coordinating interdepartmental transfers and direct payments, etc.  She is the first face visitors see in our office and represents the front line of our customer service efforts.  
 
Darlene enjoys spending time with her family, cooking on the grill and being active in the church community.

Darrius Barrow

Darrius joined our staff in January 2012. He also currently works as the Director of Marketing/Teen Services with the Boys and Girls Club of Beaufort County. Darrius earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is actively pursuing a Masters degree in Kinsiology.
 
Darrius assists our staff in the planning, execution, and assessment of the various programs, activities, and events generated in our department.

Haley Adams
Marketing Graduate Assistant - Student Involvement and Leadership

Haley joined our staff in January 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from East Carolina University.  Haley is is actively pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration with an anticipated completion date of May 2013.
 
Haley is responsible for overseeing marketing requests, working directly with a staff of graphic designers and photographers. She frequently meets with student organizations to discuss marketing strategies and how to carry them out. She maintains the ECU website for Student Activities and Organizations and also assists in the promotion of the Student Involvement and Leadership department as well as other events across campus.

 
 
Tamette

Tamette is an ECU Alumni who earned a B.S.- Rehabilitation services with a minor in substance abuse.  She is currently working on a masters in Counseling and Adult Education and plans to graduate this spring semester.  Tamette is a proud native of Durham, NC!

Tamette is responsible to assisting with developmental programming for ECU student organizations.  She loves to work with students!
