If you are looking for an organization but can’t find what you are looking for on OrgSync, consider starting a new organization!
Applications for new organizations are accepted in the first full week (Monday-Friday) of each semester. New organizations must have a minimum of ten interested members along with an advisor who is a full-time ECU faculty or staff member.
Once admitted into the recognition process, organizations must have at least one member attend three workshops, where information is shared on General University Policies, Building a Constitution, Reserving Space, Fundraising and Handling Money, and Risk Management.
After attending the workshops, organizations must present information about their organization to a the registration committee, comprised of both students and staff members. Once completed, the Director of Student Activities and Organizations will review and make a decision on final approval. In all, this process usually takes about four weeks to complete.
