Greetings fellow pirates!
My name is Andrew Ross,
and I am excited to continue serving as your Student Body Chief Justice for the
2011-2012 academic year.
The most enjoyable part of my position
within the Judicial Branch is working with the Associate Justices in heading up
the Shipmates program for freshmen and first year students. This program is
designed to offer unique opportunities for our students in helping them prepare
for future leadership positions within our association as well as other
organizations. They are offered the opportunity to explore the setup of our
Student Government Association (SGA) as well as participate in the various
branches as they prepare for their future positions within SGA. In addition to
the Shipmates program, the Associate Justices and I are responsible for
completing interpretations of the Student Government Constitution and Bylaws as
well as assisting the Elections Committee with the spring Student Body
Elections.
I encourage you to explore the SGA page
and visit the different branches to see what exciting events and resources we
are offering this year and to learn more about the numerous students committed
to serving the Student Body.
