The football Pirates game against USM on Saturday (11/28) in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is HUGE. A win will secure the Conference USA East Division title and the opportunity to host the 2009 C-USA Championship.
The importance of a full student section cannot be understated for the game! Students dressed in purple and gold, loud, enthusiastic and in their seats early play a key role in the atmosphere of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Students have done a great job this year and just like the Pirates look to the 4th quarter as the No Quarter to finish the game, this game is the 4th Quarter of the season and an opportunity for students and all Pirate fans to finish the regular season in NO QUARTER fashion in the stands.
Student ticket pick-up is on-going this week for the USM game. To show the athletic department’s appreciation to the students for their support, all guest ticket purchased by ECU students for the game is being specially discounted to ½ price.
For the game, tailgate and get in the stands early for the purple haze team entrance. Be loud and proud with the purple-gold cheer, first down…PIRATES and making noise from kick-off to the final whistle. Then, join the team in singing the ECU Fight Song after each game. Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium…Where Purple Reigns!
Remember, show sportsmanship to all fans and treat them as you would want to be treated for every game.
Go Pirates!
